[New Feature]: Use HTML & CSS in your Knowtify emails
Do you love coding HTML emails?!?! (if so...do you want to work with us at Knowtify? Let's talk...)
Ok, ok. Even if you don't want to work with us - you're in luck. Because you can now create custom HTML sections in the Knowtify editor.
Why would you want to do that?
Well...there are times when you may want to create a custom section in your email with specific visual elements that we don't cover with any of our standard, pre-coded sections.
In this case, you will want to code your own section (assuming you know what you are doing - if you don't, I wouldn't recommend it - just contact us at Knowtify and we can help).
This gives you a tremendous amount of flexibility and freedom when building out emails with Knowtify.
HOW DO YOU CREATE AN HTML SECTION IN KNOWTIFY
It's super easy. When editing any email, go to the Add Sections tab and select an 'HTML' section.
The HTML section is basically a simple, open content box in which you can enter your HTML from scratch. Any HTML you enter into this open content box is wrapped into a
From here, it's all up to you. Make something beautiful!
USING CSS IN YOUR EMAIL TEMPLATE
"Wait just a minute?!" you might be thinking. "Email clients don't support style sheets....how can we use CSS in our email templates?!?"
And of course you are right. Email clients don't support CSS in the same way a web brower does. But with Knowtify's magic CSS section, you can use CSS just as you would as if you were building a web page. Before your email is sent, we place any styling you add in your CSS section inline - making it usable by the world's nasty email clients.
Using the CSS section in your email
To use CSS in your emails, simply select our magic CSS section from the Add Section tab in the editor.
Once you have a CSS section inserted into your email, you can use it to apply styles to any classes that you use in your HTML section(s).
It's as simple as that. This is super helpful when you are using similar elements across your email or if you just want to keep you HTML clean by coding your styles separately. You can watch this quick video to see our HTML and CSS sections in action:
This HTML and CSS functionality is very much in line with our goal to offer our users the easiest & most powerful solution for building beautiful emails that your users actually want to receive.
If you have any questions on this new functionality, we'd love to hear from you.
Thanks again for your support of Knowtify!
